A Day of Writing
The day is almost over- Week 2 Reflection
I began the month with some very specific goals. This is my week two check-in on my progress. Accountability is important!
It is almost midnight on the U.S. east coast. I have been writing almost all day. I spent the day obsessed over writing. This is not healthy, I know, but I got a lot done. Here is the run-down of my day of productivity (in writing).*
I love Saturdays for the time freedom. I left the house today to give a creative writing lesson. My student is working on a science-fiction novel. She is 11 years old. I look at her and I think: brilliance.
Other than that trip to Panera, I have been working on my writing.
When I make up my mind to stick to something, it can get extreme.
I am following my own advice though. My January will thank me. The more I write, the more I want to write. The writing is fueling ideas for the future. I decided on a new project for 2020. You can read about it here:
I wrote several poems today and brainstormed new ideas. I love using prompts for my writing. There are a lot of great ones on Medium. I also worked on an author bio.
Half-way through the month, and I am really pleased with the progress I see from consistent efforts. Writing is hard.
*Productivity does not mean I got any of the shopping, laundry, curriculum and lesson planning done today. Life!
