Concentrate on Abundance

Have you ever spent a lot of time around someone who complains a lot? You know the type — nothing ever goes their way, their problems are insurmountable, and no one in the world could possibly understand. They constantly play the victim and have a million and one excuses. They are also quick to pass judgement on others and refuse advice when you offer to help them change.
Perhaps this has even been you at some point. If you are this person right now, no bit of advice will help you until you want to help yourself. But if you are ready and reading this article, stop complaining and take action.
You are pure potential.
What is it that you truly want? When meditating on abundance, I find that everything I desire is already within me. Only I have the power to make change in my life.
When I focus on abundance — people, material possessions, income potential, love, creativity, health, and all other forms of human desire seem infinite.
Earlier this year, I participated in a three-week meditation on abundance based on the teachings of Deepak Chopra. If you are inclined to or invited to do such a course, I highly recommend it.
I completed the three weeks right before my father died, and it helped me cope with the loss before it happened. I believe it gave me strength to cope with what was coming and what I knew all along was coming. It helped me release the hanging on to the struggle of our relationship and his illnesses. It helped me release an imagined guilt that I had carried around since I was a kid. This work was truly transforming. And I will return to it again.
Especially now, when the pandemic has taken income, lives, security, and a sense of purpose, it is important to focus on abundance. The isolation can really get us all down. Leaving our house is a huge risk. Returning to work or school is a huge risk. When patience runs thin and there does not seem to be an end in sight, I focus on abundance. I focus on giving out what I want to receive without expectation.
In our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.
— Deepak Chopra
Could you, right now, write down everything you desire and everything you already have? Could you set your intentions towards positivity, generosity, love, success, gratitude, healing, or whatever you need to manifest right now?
If you are in a relationship with someone who is struggling to change, take action, or find abundance, the best advice I can give is either listen to them and bite your tongue or choose to spend less time with them. The negativity is toxic. Be patient with your friend, but realize you sometimes must move on without them.
